- The Return of the Dark happens in central Faerûn, when a combined force of duergar and drow raid and pillage Elven Court and the dwarven realm of Sarphil. Elven court was pillaged and deserted, while Sarphil was sundered in two to be ruled by the invading forces respectively.[1][2][3]
- The Archer-guard Shevarash, in an angertinged prayer to Corellon, vows to become the Seldarines hand against the drow to extract revenge for the loss of his family. The Black Archer never smiled again, as he sought to kill Lolth and all her followers.[4]
