- Following sixty years of negotiations, the syl-pasha of Calimshan and the Matron Mother of Guallidurth come to an agreement: secret trade activities in exchange for a withdrawal of drow forces beneath Calimport and other cities of Calimshan. However, as not all the drow hold allegiance to the Matron Mother of Guallidurth, the withdrawal takes ninety years. This is also hampered by a house rebellion in Guallidurth, which continues the Night Wars.[1]
- The first Emperor Chin of the Ho Dynasty of Shou Lung and his son both die in mysterious circumstances. The emperor's grandson is named the second Emperor Chin.[1]
- The new Emperor Chin ends the Time of Contentions and declares the Time of Sharing Meals, which encourages religious freedom while banned temple militias. The Path of Enlightenment is chosen as the state religion of Shou Lung. These edicts are less effective in the southern provinces.[1]
