1273 DR in politics
- Baeron and Shilarn Silmaeril, two former masked Lords of Waterdeep, seize power from the Lords Magister Ehlemm Zoar and Lhorar Gildeggh. They reinstate the rule of the Lords of Waterdeep that was halted in 1256 DR, with Baeron becoming an Open Lord. The houses of Gildeggh and Zoar are banned from the city.[1][2]
- Joadath becomes Lord of Shadowdale.[2]
