- Sembia attacks the Dalelands and captures Archendale.[1]
- Daerlun prepares defenses against a possible Shadovar and Sembian invasion.[2]

- Nesmé was destroyed by a orc horde guided by Tiago Baenre riding the white dragon Arauthator[4]

Deaths in 1484 DR
- Both Rivalen and Brennus Tanthul are killed when the mythallar powering the Shadovar city of Sakkors fails, causing the city to land on top of them.[5]
- Berellip Xorlarrin is killed by Artemis Entreri in Q'Xorlarrin.[6]
- Bromm, one of the twin kings of Citadel Adbar, is beheaded by Hartusk in the Battle of the Cold Vale.[4]
- Knight-Commander Degar Mindero of Silverymoon dies foolishly at the Crossings of the Redrun trying to win glory against a force of orcs six times the size of his own Knights in Silver without calling for reinforcements.[4]
1484 DR in people
- Erevis Cale's son Vasen and his companions Orsin and Gerak are transported to Cania by Drasek Riven where they free Erevis from his one-hundred-year-long magical imprisonment.[7]
- After accidentally killing her lover, Hedrun Arnsfirth is banished from the Tribe of the Elk but soon discovers that she is the Chosen of Auril.[8]
1484 DR in organizations
- After existing for one hundred years under the noses of the Shadovar, the oracle of the Abbey of the Rose removes the abbey's wards[9] and shortly thereafter the abbey is found by two servants of Mephistopheles, Zeeahd and Sayeed, who mostly destroy the abbey.[10]
1484 DR in deities
- Vasen Cale uses the power of Amaunator to sever the god Mask's power from Rivalen, Mephistopheles, and Drasek Riven, with the expectation that Erevis will claim the power. Instead, Riven agrees to accept the burden of divinity and essentially becomes the reborn Mask (or Mask becomes Riven).[11]
- Mielikki dissolves Iruladoon, releasing the five people who have been trapped within for the last eighteen years.[12]
- Drow wizard Tsabrak Xorlarrin channeled the Darkening upon the Silver Marches under order of Lolth.[12]
- Stories begin to travel across the Realms that the gods are bestowing supernatural gifts on a Chosen few.[3]
1484 DR in environment
- Amn is swarmed by a plague of locusts.[3]
- Iriaebor is devastated by an earthquake.[3]
- South Faerûn suffers a terrible drought.[3]
- Along the coast of South Faerûn the sea waters begin to recede.[3]
- The darkness over Sembia, caused by the Ordulin Maelstrom, starts to dissipate. The sun light not seen in Sembia since the Twilight war begins to show through cracks in the darkness.[13]
1484 DR in politics
- Kythorn: An ambassador of Luruar places blame for the War of the Silver Marches at the feet of Clan Battlehammer during an audience with King Connerad to request military aid for Sundabar. In the same outburst, he blames Citadel Felbarr for the death of Knight-Commander Mindero (despite Mindero's defeat being his own fault).[4]
- Flamerule 1: The dwarven kings of the Silver Marches meet in conclave at Citadel Felbarr and decide that none of them will march to the aid of Luruar.[4]
