- The village of Elmwood is founded. It becomes a small way-station for shipping along the River Lis.[1]
- The empire of Unther claims to have founded Altumbel. However, it is home only to wandering pirates and some hermits looking for solitude.[1]
- In Cormyr, a village and a lord's estates are destroyed in a freak ice storm in the middle of summer. This is the last reported use of the Ring of Winter in Faerûn.[1]
