- Responding to Uthtower's plea for help, the lich Iniarv uses powerful magic to raise the level of a portion of the Sea of Swords, which floods the kingdom of Uthtower, killing untold numbers of humanoids and creating the Mere of Dead Men when the waters recede.[1]
615 DR in politics
- Iniarv's flood wipes out the armies of Uthtower, Phalorm, and the orc hordes besieging them. As the surviving orcs flee into the Sword Mountains, the elves of Phalorm retreat to Evermeet.[1] Already wounded by orc attacks, the Tri-Crowned Kingdom of Phalorm falls.[2][1]
- With the retreat of the elves of Phalorm, Ardeep is only nominally an elf realm.[1]
- The lamia Nessmara takes the form of a gynosphinx and seduces Lyonarth, the "Winter Sphinx", ruler of Westgate. The two rule the city together.[1]
