- Selûne appears in the dreams of several assembled priests, informing them of the existence of a relic called the Moonweb which was lost in the fall of Netheril. Two of these priests already have two of the four rings that make up the relic and together quest for the remaining two in secret.
616 DR in politics
- Delimbiyran, the human kingdom of Phalorm, claims all the lands of that realm and establishes a new alliance with gnome and halflings of the area. The new realm is called the Kingdom of Man.[1]
616 DR in conflicts
- A wizard known only as the Handweaver comes to Westgate and shatters the illusions cloaking the lamia Nessmara’s true form. Nessmara and Lyonarth battle to the death, and Farnath, apprentice to the Handweaver, is named king, founding the Ilistar Dynasty.[1]
Migrations in 616 DR
- Aurgloroasa, the "Sibilant Shade", moves from the lair of her mother, Shhuusshuru, to make her own lair in the southwestern Thunder Peaks. She would not intervene in the area for the next century.[2]
