Agin Lamarck was a noble and historian in Mantor's Library in Phlan in 1489 DR.

Agin was a very cynical individual, wielding sarcasm like a warrior wielded a good blade. He was not an easy-going person, but this was only a facade to protect his secret: his family's claim to nobility was false, as his grandmother had altered the genealogies in order to claim descent from the deceased House Lamarck.

His passion was detailing all the genealogies of the families of Phlan. During the day, however, he worked in a shop. Secretly Agin was also an agent of the Lords' Alliance.[1]
