Alither was a bard, sage, and member of the Harpers from the city of Lyrabar in Impiltur in the mid-to-late 14th century DR.[1][2][3]

Activities[]
Among his works, Alither studied the legends of Adhe Wood in the Vast and believed that the many mutant spiders there were produced by a diseased or magically altered deepspawn dwelling there, dubbed "the Father of Spiders" by 1370 DR.[1][2]
