Amsha al-Lanim was in charge of the Gate of the Ghost in Huzuz in 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

Amsha was harsh and strict, relentlessly driving her employees to strive for perfection in their duties.[1]

Amsha took great pride in running the busiest gate in all of Huzuz—a gate that admitted more people to the city than even the whole harbor.[1]

She took her job very seriously and never missed a day of work in eight years on the post, including the days when she gave birth to her two children.[1]

Unable to find an enlightened Zakharan husband who would tolerate her lofty career goals, Amsha married a foreign wizard named Elfinster, who operated a small school.[1]

Amsha owned a magical longsword and jambiya. Her wedding ring was actually a ring of regeneration.[1]
