Bae'qeshel was a bardic art known to very few drow. Wielders of bae'qeshel were known as the "dark minstrels." The song was keening and magical.[1]
Unlike divine magic, dark minstrels tapped into the Weave, and did not require a connection with a deity to wield it.[2]
The songs had effects ranging from the healing of wounds to sonic blasts capable of stripping bark off of trees, as shown by Halisstra in Condemnation.[2]
Notable users
- Halisstra Melarn: She was one of the few learned in bae'qeshel, as it was a secret tradition for chosen females in House Melarn in Ched Nasad until the house's destruction.[1]
