Bastun is a vremyonni wizard of Rashemen[1]

Bastun wears a dark mask of wood, inlaid with silver whorls and tiny designs resembling thorny vines that covers his face from forehead to jawline.[1]He wears robes.[2]

Bastun's mask is enchanted to enhance his hearing.[1]He carries a magical staff with leather wrappings on it's grip and a steel sphere at it's tip. The tip could with a command word transform in to an long, curving axe head.[3][4]

Ulsera was Bastun sister.[5]

Bastun was taught and inducted into the brotherhood of the vremyonni by Keffrass shortly after being suspected in tempting his sister to enter the Urlingwood which is a capital offense in Rasheman. Bastun studied under [[Keffrass}} who awakened the love of knowledge in him. He was later suspected in the murder of Keffrass and was given the choice of exile or death, he chose exile and in doing so found out who was responsible for his masters death.[6]
