Beornegar

Beornegar was a well-respected member of the Elk Tribe of Reghedmen but was killed in the battle of Icewind Dale, when the barbarians tried to conquer the Ten Towns. He was the father of Wulfgar. After Beornegar was killed, Bruenor put Wulfgar under indentured servitude, who then made a promise to kill Bruenor. In the end though, Wulfgar began to see Bruenor as a father figure, not to replace Beornegar, but in addition to him.

After Delly Curtie died, it was Wulfar's memories of Beornegar which prompted him to return to Icewind Dale. Most of his friends realised his plans before Wulfgar told of them since he had started referring to himself as 'son of Beornegar', a title which he had not used for quite some time.
