Blood Charge is a Forgotten Realms adventure using the 2nd-edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset, published in 1990 by TSR, Inc.

The Stone Sceptre has been recovered.

But will it be enough to stop the Raja of Solon? Ambuchar Devayam has massed 10,000 zombies on Ra-Khati's border. Only Gaumahavi, the Great Dragon of the Purple Wastes, stands between him and the hidden Kingdom. Yet even she cannot face Ambuchar alone, for the evil raja has recovered an archaic Imaskari relic that renders him invincible.

If Ra-Khati is to be saved and the player characters are to escape the raja's curse, Ambuchar Devayan must be stopped. But how? The player characters' search for a solution will embroil them in Tuigan politics, lure them to the Red Mountain Monastery's forbidden halls, and lead them into ancient Solon itself, where Ambuchar's slaves—both living and undead—toil to make him even more dangerous.

Blood Charge is the third adventure in the Empires Adventures Trilogy, taking place in the new Forgotten Realms Campaign world territories described in the The Horde campaign set. The Empires Adventure Trilogy is set amidst the turbulent events portrayed in the Empires Novel Trilogy. This adventure is designed for four to eight players characters of levels 7–10. It can be played as a separate, stand-alone module or as the sequel to FRA2, Black Courser.

Description[]

The adventure is designed for four to eight characters of levels 7–10 and involves the players' efforts to solve a mystery involving a local lord and his mysterious affliction. The lord is suffering from a strange illness that is slowly draining him of his life force, and the players must uncover the cause and find a cure before it's too late.

The adventure is divided into several different chapters, each of which presents a different challenge or obstacle for the players to overcome. These challenges include navigating the political intrigue and rivalries of the local nobility, investigating the strange affliction that is plaguing the lord, and battling the supernatural forces that are responsible for the illness.

One of the key features of Blood Charge is its emphasis on investigation and roleplaying. The module encourages players to interact with NPCs, gather clues, and use their skills and abilities to uncover the truth behind the lord's illness. The module also includes several opportunities for combat and exploration, but these are not the main focus of the adventure.

Blood Charge is a challenging and engaging adventure that is well-suited for experienced players and Dungeon Masters who are looking for a roleplaying-heavy campaign. Its emphasis on investigation and political intrigue, as well as its detailed descriptions and challenging encounters, make it a standout module in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
