Brian, known as Brian the Swordmaster,[2] was a Masked Lord of Waterdeep.[1]

DescriptionEdit

Brian was bald with a black beard and a permanent scowl. His eyes were gray. As a swordsmith and armorer, he had a strong physique.[2]

PersonalityEdit

Brian liked to look at things directly and in a straightforward manner.[2]

ActivitiesEdit

Brian owned a smith and shop in the South Ward.[3] His home was located above the shop.[4] He worked among the common folk of Waterdeep.[5]

HistoryEdit

In 1373 DR, Brian insulted the shade Prince Aglarel of Thultanthar, resulting in the city's offer of a formal alliance being withdrawn. This event also caused Thultanthar to rescind any promise of further aid to Waterdeep.[1]

RelationshipsEdit

Brian was one of the "Like-Minded Lords" in 1364 DR (Mirt, Khelben, Durnan, Kitten, and Larissa), who frequently met up to enjoy each other's company.)[6]
