A chakram was a small throwing disk.
A typical chakram was a metal (often steel) disk from five inches (13 centimeters) to a foot (30 centimeters) in radius with a sharpened outer edge and a rounded inner edge. They usually weighed between one half and two pounds (one kilogram). They were oven covered in intricate engravings.
A chakram was thrown much like a discus.
