Compelled duel was an enchantment spell that by divine command compelled a duel with a target.[3]
Effect[]
The caster would compel a duel with a target within 30 ft (9.1 m). If the target failed to resist, then it would have to try and engage with the caster. The target was at a disadvantage when attacking others and if the caster attacked someone else the spell would end.[3]
Components[]
Only a vocal component was needed for the casting.[3]
History[]
Some time during or before the late 1490s DR,[note 1] the Thayan paladin Xenk Yendar compelled the elder brain Zuphelithid to a duel to the death. Xenk emerged as the victor.[5]

Notes[]
- ↑ The Honor Among Thieves movie and its tie-ins are as yet undated. As discussed here, from the condition of Castle Never and Dagult Neverember's reign, this wiki estimates a date of the late 1490s DR for the main events of the movie. Prequels and flashback scenes are set up to 11 years before this.
