Daelegoth Orndeir was a leader of the Brotherhood of the Glorious Sun as well as major proponent behind recent growth of belief in the Risen Sun heresy.[1]

Born the only son of Morninglord Hatthala Orndeir, Daelegoth quickly embraced the ideologies of Lathander[1] and rose quickly in the ranks of the church. While investigating the connection between a holy site of Lathander and the legacy of Amaunator, he quickly began to believe that Lathander was Amaunator reborn. This led to his joining of the Brotherhood.[1]

Upon assuming his mother's power and position of archbishop of the Dragon Coast after his mother's death in 1370 DR, Daelegoth began to canonize the Risen Sun heresy within the church of Lathander. This led to a brewing conflict between Daelegoth, the Brotherhood, and the more traditional members of the church of Lathander.[1]

Daelegoth had the ability to cast the epic spell Amaunator's Eternal Sun.[1]

Among Daelegoth's possessions were a +2 periapt of wisdom and a holy symbol of Amaunator made of gold. He also wielded Shadowsmite and Sunshield, a mace and a shield respectively.[1]
