The Dark Disaster, or the Killing Storms, was a tragedy in -10,500 DR that totally destroyed the elven kingdom of Miyeritar.[1]
Killing storms reduced the entire forest and realm into barren wastelands (later called the High Moor) in three months. While no proof could ever be found, many believe the High Mages of Aryvandaar (their enemies at the time) inflicted the Dark Disaster on Miyeritar.[2] Four decades of uneasy peace followed.[3][2]
