Deathwatch was a necromancy spell that, within an area of thirty feet, informed the caster how badly wounded subjects were.[1]


Using the foul sight granted by the powers of unlife, the caster could determine the condition of creatures near death within the spell's range. He or she instantly knew whether each creature within the area was dead, dying, gravely wounded, undead, or neither alive nor dead (such as a construct). This spell foiled any spell or ability that allowed creatures to feign death.[1]


This spell required only verbal and somatic components to cast.
