When the caster uttered this spell and struck the ground for emphasis, a wave of energy emanated explosively from the caster and hit any number of chosen targets within 30 ft (9.1 m). The force took the form of a thunderclap and could knock creatures to the ground. In addition to this blast of godly might, the caster could choose the divine energy to be radiant or necrotic in nature, further damaging the targets. Sturdy creatures affected by the blast had a chance to resist the spell. If so, they took only half the damage and remained standing.
Only a vocal component was needed for the casting of this spell. Striking the ground was apparently an optional dramatic gesture.
