Dorigen Kel Lamond was an evil wizard in service to Castle Trinity.[1] After Cadderly spared her in Shilmista, she gradually underwent a change of heart, ultimately sacrificing herself at the Edificant Library in an attempt to save her new-found friends from vampires.

DescriptionEdit

Dorigen had black hair that she wore long, though unkempt. Her eyes were amber colored. Her nose had obviously been broken and forever bent to the side.[2] She typically wore black robes.[citation needed] Cadderly Bonaduce spared her life and instead broke her fingers during the war of Shilmista hindering Dorigen for a long time from performing any harmful magic.[3] The mercy of Cadderly would prove to be well-placed, as it enabled Dorigen to re-evaluate her path in life. She joined forces with Cadderly and his friends to defeat Aballister Bonaduce and bring down Castle Trinity. They would return to the Edificant Library. When Kierkan became a vampire and attempted to turn her, she chose to destroy herself with fire rather than live as an evil slave. Cadderly found her charred body, but she was still alive and in great pain. He agreed to end her suffering so that her spirit could go on to paradise, but not before she told him that she loved him for his goodness, and that her only regret was that she would not live to see him marry Danica, who she came to be good friends with.[citation needed]

Magical Items Edit

Dorigen wore an onyx ring that could cast the flame Aganazzar's scorcher.[4]It was taken by Cadderly during the fight at the forests of Shilmista.[5]She also carried a wand that could eminate dim, normal, or blinding light with the command Domin illu, Illu, or Mas Illu.[6]
