Draconomicon is a 2nd-edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons accessory for the Forgotten Realms.
Description[]
Draconomicon is the 1st book in the FOR series and provides extensive information about dragons, including their physiology, biology, behavior, and abilities. It details about the social structures, hierarchies, and cultures of dragons. This includes information on dragon lairs, hoards, and how dragons interact with each other and other creatures. It contains rules and guidelines for dragon magic, including spells and magical abilities that dragons can use.
Draconomicon provides descriptions of the treasures, magical items, and legendary artifacts that can be found in dragon hoards. It also contains information on the ecological roles dragons play in their respective environments and how they fit into the larger ecosystems of the Realms.
The sourcebook provides detailed descriptions of different types of dragons, including metallic dragons (such as gold and silver dragons) and chromatic dragons (like red and blue dragons). Each type has its own distinct traits, powers, and motivations.
For Dungeon Masters, Draconomicon suggestions for incorporating dragons into adventures, campaigns, and storytelling. It provides guidance on how to incorporate dragons into existing campaigns and how to design campaigns centered around dragons as major antagonists or allies.
