Dragathil was a slightly curved rapier sized for medium creatures. It had a row of small rubies down the center of the blade and a large basket hilt in the form of roses twined around three harps. The rapier glowed with a fierce red light when drawn, but despite its fearsome appearance, it was designed to subdue opponents peacefully.[1]

Dragathil had the standard baneblade properties, and it was also a merciful weapon that allowed the wielder to use hold person once per day. Only those skilled at persuasion and negotiation were able to wield Dragathil. It was crafted by the archmage Demron before the fall of Myth Drannor and was the fifth of his series of Baneblades.[1]
