Elemental aura (also known as energy aura[1]) is a quality that can be applied to weapons, and can add acidic, cold, electricity, fire or sonic damage to its normal attack. If this quality is applied to a ranged weapon, its effects apply to any ammunition the weapon uses.[2]


To apply the elemental aura property to a weapon, the caster must have five spells available: blindness/deafness, chill metal, flame blade, lightning bolt, and Melf's acid arrow.[2]


The weapon can switch between auras once per six seconds, per the wielder's mental command.[2]
