Eltargrim Irithyl was King of the city of Cormanthor (later named Myth Drannor). He was formerly a warrior and was of the opinion that humans could not be defeated by elves because of their sheer numbers, so he allowed the gnomes, halflings and dwarves to inhabit the city to ensure that there was not an unbalancing number of humans.[1]
Eltargrim died in 661 DR, leaving no successor, and instigating the period in Myth Drannor's history known as The Dusk.[2]
