Eye agate was a form of banded agate but instead of striated bands, the layers within the stone appeared as concentric rings. These rings are gray, white, brown, grayish blue, and drab green.
Like banded agates, these ornamental stones were often ground up and used in sleeping draughts, though their effectiveness was unknown. A typical stone had a base value of 10 gp.
