The Flaming Griffon was an inn in the city of Mordulkin in Chessenta in the early 1370s DR. Its proprietor was Rueldarr.
The inn stood two stories high, and had glass-paned windows and a black door. Its sign depicted a griffon (with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle) with wings of fire.
The inn offered adjoining rooms, and rooms held two single beds, a writing desk, and armoire. There was also a common room for patrons.
In addition to rooms, the inn provided baths and meals, which included roast mutton, stewed vegetables, and bread, and five-bean soup.
The staff were helpful and accommodating.
In the winter of the Year of Lightning Storms, 1374 DR, Ythnel Duumin, Kestus Aentius, Muctos Dapritus and Kohtakah—surviving members of the Mage Society of Luthcheq—escaped to Mordulkin and stayed at the Flaming Griffon. After Midwinter and their return to Mordulkin, they and stayed at the Griffon again.
