Flickering venom is an invocation used by some warlocks, which can be used to infect an enemy with deadly poison. When a warlock casts flickering venom he or she conjures a dagger-like weapon of venomous poison, which they then shoot into a creature within twenty-five feet of him or her. The deadliness of the dagger is largely determined by the warlock's charisma but dark pact warlocks also gain a benefit from their intellect, which allows them to stretch the reach of their attack from twenty-five to fifty feet. Flickering venom is more easily cast then some spells, but requires a short rest of a few minutes between castings regardless.
