Fortify was a cooperative magic spell allowing one priest to enhance the healing powers of another.[1]
Effects
The priest casting fortify had to touch another priest casting cure light wounds, cure serious wounds, or cure critical wounds on a subject, and both spells had to be cast simultaneously. At the completion of both spells, the maximum possible healing effect was granted to the subject for the cure spell being cast.[1]
It is unknown if fortify worked with other cure spells, including the mass cure variety.
Components
Verbal and somatic components, and the priest's holy symbol, were all that were required to cast this spell.[1]
