Use the following template for a nicely presented post:

So, a while back, Sir Whiteout rewrote our Currency article. On its talk page, we outlined our plan to make "Coinage of Foo" pages that link from that article. I made an attempt at one with Coinage in Silverymoon and plan to also write Coinage in Amn, Coinage in Tethyr, and Coinage in Calimshan.

However, I wanted us all to be on the same page. Currently, we have some articles on individual coins, e.g., Moon (coin), Dragon (coin); however, many cities share names for some coins—both Waterdeep and Silverymoon have "dragons", so the current Dragon (coin) would need to be disambiguated anyhow—and it seems silly to me to have so many coin articles. Instead, I would like to propose that we make redirects for all cities' coins to "Coinage of Foo" articles and merge any already written coin articles into those articles. In most cases, I prefer separate articles, but coins really only make sense in relation to other coins of the same make and city.

Thoughts?

I like this solution. It seems way more elegant than having individual articles for each separate coin. Additionally, the {{Category jump}} template could even include a currency field to link to those articles, if a sufficiently large number of locations mint their own coins.

I agree, consolidating currency articles like that makes sense.

I love anything that can be added to Category jumps :)
