I'll gladly start adding my current project ideas here for the Current Clack. Hopefully some of the other regulars will pick this thread up as well.
ItalianDM- Keep up the good work! I hope you decide to stick around. :)
BTW, please focus on pages you've worked on, only making links to them, so we can better highlight our recent developments.
Lhynard, I put the genealogy notice up before. I don't want an ad to sit there constantly, else it looks stagnant, so I'll put it up and take it down when I have the whim. :)
Suggestions for Current Clack[]
Please update us on your current projects by posting them below. These can be in-universe content, wikification of sources, and development of templates, policies, and guides, and important discussions. Feel free to link to any pages you're particularly pleased with. However, don't link to things you've haven't worked on, to focus these on recent developments. These will be mined for posting on the Main Page in {{Current Clack}}. Also feel free to put an in-universe spin on it. :)
I'll be in the Shining Lands for the remainder of this week; adding locations, characters, and organizations. – Artemaz (talk) 17:28, May 23, 2016 (UTC)Still covering unique ioun stones and I did the Way and some associated texts. — BadCatMan (talk) 01:17, May 24, 2016 (UTC)Following in the footsteps of Volo by publishing dangerous magics, I'm currently exposing the prayers of the Frostmaiden from her book Revelations of the Icedawn. —Moviesign (talk) 05:11, May 24, 2016 (UTC)Obsessive-compulsively folding and unfolding the maps, shuffling them into a more useful hierarchy of categories. —Moviesign (talk) 05:11, May 24, 2016 (UTC)(Another great Current Clack update!) I'm continuing to expand the Shining Lands for at least the next week. Artemaz (talk) 13:20, May 26, 2016 (UTC)Populating some monsters of Zakhara is my theme for the week. (Artemaz hunts down some of the creatures of Zakhara, stalking the alleys of Huzuz in search of the ever-elusive jana-qitat, while giving the terrifying gawwar samakat a wide berth. Artemaz (talk) 16:57, June 1, 2016 (UTC)Taking a detour through the Underdark (some say "fleeing the wrath of the church of Auril"), Moviesign is studiously documenting various fungi found there, as more prayers of the Frostmaiden trickle out. —Moviesign (talk) 15:05, June 4, 2016 (UTC)More work on the menagerie for me this week. Grasped in the claws of the majestic and terrifying Zakharan roc, Artemaz enjoyes a splendid view of the Land of Fate, spying on such creatures as the hideous island giant and a host of annoying elemental vermin, en route to the roc's nest as an honoredmealguest.Artemaz (talk) 14:37, June 9, 2016 (UTC)After the last Aurilian spell, heart of ice, was leaked to the Heralds of Faerûn, Moviesign disappeared from the light of day and journeyed through the Underdark until things cooled down. There, he partook of ripplebark stew spiced with fire lichen and drank from a waterorb while contemplating how to use spores from the devil's mushroom to throw off any pursuit from the church of Auril. He recently emerged and is spending time in the safe company of the holy strategists of the Red Knight and will report on their battle magic of which they are rightfully proud. —Moviesign (talk) 04:34, June 14, 2016 (UTC)After traveling the scorching sands of the High Desert, a dehydrated Artemaz hallucinates that he sees a beautiful marid maiden, but instead stumbles upon the jann of the House of Sihr. Amir Bouladin al-Mutajalli was suspiciously pleasant, but Jamala, his eldest daughter, really caught Artemaz's eye. Deciding it best to depart before getting into trouble, he plunges deep into the Genies' Anvil in search of the fabled Lost City of Ubar. Artemaz (talk) 20:53, June 15, 2016 (UTC)Searching Zakhara for its rarest dweomers, Daranios gets drawn into the twilight realm of shadow magic and sheds some light (metaphorically) on such spells as shadow evocation. Daranios (talk) 13:37, June 16, 2016 (UTC)Having spent time with the righteous but dour holy strategists of the Red Knight, Moviesign was in desperate need of some joy and frivolity so he sought out the joydancers of Lliira to investigate the happy side of magic. There, he met a mystic who was pleased to show him the power of happiness and introduce him to candle magic. —Moviesign (talk) 14:29, June 22, 2016 (UTC)- I jump around projects too much to always have a blurb in clack, but if I could have a running ad for making family trees, that would be great. The link is here: Requests for family trees. ~ Lhynard (talk) 19:58, June 18, 2016 (UTC)
Parched from his stay in Luskan, Darkwynters tried to get some water from the Throat, but was shot at by crossbow wielding shepherds. Yelling that he did not want Suljack's sheep, Dark fled toward the Red Dragon Trading Post hoping to find a friend. - Darkwynters (talk) 22:46, June 30, 2016 (UTC)Although a well-acquainted traveller of the Deep Wastes, Eli the Tanner had been among the many overwhelmed by the Rage of Demons that swept throughout the Underdark. Distracted by maddenning whispers, his missives to the surface had been silenced ever since the rise of Hledh Hellspawn in Maerimydra. However as the susurrus chaos withdrew from the Underdark, so did it slowly from the mind of Eli the Tanner. --Eli the Tanner (talk) 17:52, July 3, 2016 (UTC)Taking a detour from Luskan, Darkwynters joins up with the Unknown user and the Shieldbreakers to journey into the High Peaks to protect the barony of Ahlarkhem against the goblin hordes. - Darkwynters (talk) 21:21, July 8, 2016 (UTC)After dancing with the Lliirans until he collapsed from exhaustion, Moviesign gladly made a sizeable donation for some candle magic therapy, receiving blessings of health and luck. He is now seeking out the peace and quiet of the followers of Eldath and will report on their flavor of magic.Having come through a portal from the Great Glacier, Lhynard is escorted on the backs of dire bats over Anauroch from the High Ice to Thultanthar, crossing over the Plain of Standing Stones and into the Sword. Along the way, they stop at Fallen Giant Rift, Helm Rift, the Oasis of Vipers, and the Well of the Cloven Rock. After donning a ring of fire resistance, Artemaz travels to the fabled efreeti capital of the City of Brass on the Elemental Plane of Fire. Sweating profusely, he walks up the Street of Stelae, passing the barracks of the Ring of the Unquenchable, to behold the awe-inspiring Breath of the Sultan that stands before the colossal Charcoal Palace. A noble efreeti informs Artemaz that he better exhibit his best behavior or risk getting invited for a stay in the Octagon. Artemaz (talk) 12:53, July 11, 2016 (UTC)Returning to the Savage Frontier, Darkwynters observed the Beast Lord creating monstrous creatures, such as bulettes and perytons. After recording the alhoon's location in the Lonely Moor, he set out to warn the Harpers of this dastardly villain. - Darkwynters (talk) 18:23, July 29, 2016 (UTC)Intrigued by cursed items, Artemaz spends some time chronicling such oddities as the turbulent carpet of diving, the ghastly mourner's armor, and the comical dagger of truth. Having had enough of curses for awhile, he then decides to research the whimsical genie wish. Artemaz (talk) 20:36, July 29, 2016 (UTC)Moviesign discovered that the peace and tranquility of Eldathyn groves is defended by priests with potent spells like wailing wind, touchsickle, flame shield, greenwood, mold touch, and wheel of bones. After a tenday of rest and renewal, he feels ready to deal with followers of another of the Gods of Fury, Umberlee.Artemaz chronicles the life of the Loregiver and researches her historical laws, the set of beliefs that united the continent of Zakhara, before detailing the secretive lives of some notorious yikarians including the Unspeakable, the Watcher, and the Guardian. Artemaz (talk) 14:26, August 13, 2016 (UTC)While in Thultanthar, Lhynard reads about the history of ancient Netheril, including the creation of quasimagical items like an ice box, the invention of Undine's rope and Dace's ventriloquism spells, and the discovery of the Demiplane of Shadow as described in the great work of science Shadows: The Palpable Cohesion of Formless Corporeality. ~ Lhynard (talk) 07:40, August 30, 2016 (UTC)Intrigued after meeting a young yikarian undertaking their hallong, Artemaz ventures deep into the Yikarian Empire, exploring the remote province of the Ghost Leopard and spending time with Little Fox, the governor of the province and member of the Seven Sages, before entering the mysterious capital of Nathong. Artemaz (talk) 18:02, September 1, 2016 (UTC)Moviesign found the Umberlants more than willing to demonstrate the power of their goddess with spells like speak with the drowned dead, stormcloak, and striking wave. He had to politely decline being shown waterspout and maelstrom for fear of collateral damage. He now finds himself in the town of Voonlar wondering what rural town life is like. —Moviesign (talk) 13:10, September 5, 2016 (UTC)Wrapped in an aba of the elements, Artemaz dares to explore the hidden fortress of Krak al-Mazhar—the seat of power for the Brotherhood of the True Flame. Artemaz (talk) 14:02, September 26, 2016 (UTC)Voonlar is proving to be intriguing as Moviesign gets to know the locals including the clergy of the Bounty of the Goddess who revealed Chauntean spells plant lance, phantom plow, and favor of the goddess. Daranios (talk) 11:13, October 2, 2016 (UTC)With eyes burning and throat parched from researching various magical sands such as sand of sinking and sand cages, Artemaz decides to whisk himself to distant Yhaunn where he encounters some interesting Sembians like Jhyndara Thiolstar of the Ladysluck Tower and the famed adventurer Strasus Thingoleir.Moviesign is still sidestepping around the church of Cyric in Voonlar because the clerics of Chauntea are so pleasant and interesting. They revealed (but did not demonstrate) a spell that could reset civilization: conjure nature elemental. Staying at the Three Elves inn, he gained weight eating the mounds of food prepared by its four fabulous cooks so he moved to the Flying Stag inn where portions are small but the service is impeccable. There, he tried local dishes, savander, breek, and forest leaf. —Moviesign (talk) 22:00, October 21, 2016 (UTC)While a guest in the cloud palace of Vanguard Marchas, Lhynard was nervous to pass a dire lion guarding the mead hall, but once he was brave enough to enter and after imbibing some luscious mead, he heard the Saga of the Dragon Queller, the epic ballad of Hjurnur Hjurgenson, composed by the great skald Hrotun. Artemaz (talk) 13:00, January 10, 2017 (UTC)After screwing his courage to the sticking place, Moviesign met some Cyricists in the Swords Meet inn and then paid a visit (literally! he had to make a donation) to the Dark God Reformed where he learned of dire spells such as spirit annihilation, undeath after death, and dark promise.Walking quickly out of the fanged gate of the temple to Cyric, Moviesign headed to his last stop in Voonlar, the Whistling Wizard inn. There, he heard the tale of the Battle at the Bar from the owner, Harauna Beltzund, and consulted the famed Wizard Well to get some advice on where to travel next.Lhynard was absent for a time, stuck in the bitter winter of Hartsvale, but when he returned, riding a pulkka, he had stories of the strange birth of Kaedlaw Burdun and writes about the geography of that oft-ignored land, including such places as Wynn Castle, Wyrm River, Coggin's Rise, Stagwick, and the Gorge of the Silver Wyrm.Lhynard obtained a copy of A Full History of the Dobbins of Stagwick but found it rather boring, so he traveled instead to Split Mountain, (avoiding Goboka's ogres on the way,) to learn the history of Sky Cleaver, Annam All-Father's fabled handaxe. After researching the Ruined Kingdoms of east Zakhara, Artemaz traveled up the winding River Abdo through the densely forested Grey Jungle before reaching the hidden ruins of the necropolis of Ysawis.Having arisen from Citadel Felbarr nearly one year ago to venture across Toril, Erezrim Stonefoot, Dwarven scholar, has set out from Candlekeep to find the true chronology of the Age of Humanity. He has strolled around the streets of Southbank and Northbank; admired the great Moonbridge, the mighty House Invincible, and the impressive Rhyester's Matins; and gone shopping at the Shining Scroll, among other things. He now drinks ale at the Dancing Goat.Dark_T_Zeratul returned to Neverwinter to learn firsthand of the city's battle against villainous Cloaked Ascendancy, as well as their research into the death curse in Chult. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 00:58, March 16, 2018 (UTC)I've been traveling the Dalelands in order to write a better guide than Volo. I managed to avoid the Shaking Plague in Scardale Town and went rafting down the River Ashaba. (please add more, I love these!)Ruf (talk) 03:09, March 16, 2018 (UTC)At the behest of his masters in the Kraken Society, Falren began trekking through the jungles of Chult, exploring ancient ruins such as Ishau, Hisari and Orolunga. Ruf (talk) 16:28, October 7, 2018 (UTC)On fall break from teaching alchemy, Lhynard instead studied comparative biology, focusing on some of the strange mollusks of the Realms, including the dangerous stalactoids—the simple piercer and its magical and more highly evolved cousin, the darkmantle.
