Gana Bay was nestled in the southeast corner of west Zakhara in the Pearl Cities in 1367 DR.[note 1]
Gana Bay measured approximately 30 miles (48 km) wide by 60 miles (96 km) in length, forming a roughly rectangular shape.
The bay offered natural protection to the important trade city of Gana from the storms of the northern reaches of the Crowded Sea. It was filled with run-off from Al-Sabiya River.
