Glabrezu are one of the most powerful types of demonic tanar'ri. A glabrezu tempts its victims into ruin by luring them with power or wealth. This demon's broad, muscular body is as large as a giant, with two of its four arms ending in clawed hands and two in powerful pincers. Its doglike head is horned with a muzzle full of sharp teeth. Their imposing stature radiates authority and control, which they use to sway mortals into accepting their gifts...for a price.

[edit] Nature
Despite their physical prowess, glabrezus prefer to work behind the scenes, both on the Material Plane and in The Abyss. They rarely lead, but rather act as advisors, chief lieutenants, and spies for more powerful demons. Every glabrezu has an impressive list of grudges, secret agendas, and long-term schemes, some of which may take centuries or millennia to come to fruition.
Glabrezu does not offer pleasures of the flesh but tempts their victims into ruin by luring offers of power, wealth, and respect undreamed of by even the most ambitious person. Strangely, they are unable to change, or polymorph, their frightening appearance, so they usually visit mortals in secret. They are most commonly summoned directly by a mortal; such as ambitious human wizards or drow priestesses who hope to make a bargain. Sometimes they find a potential victim on their own, presenting their 'gift' to this person whether or not they want it.
