Half-elf

Half-elves are humanoids born through the union of an elf and a human. The are on average slightly shorter than humans with faces like elves, only less angular.[citation needed] Whether a half-elf is raised by their human parent or their elven parent, they feel isolated and alone.[1] Because they take around twenty years to reach adulthood,[2] they mature quickly when raised by elves (who think they look like humans), making them feel like an outsider in either place.[citation needed] Half-elves live on average for around 180 years.[2]
There are some regions, such as in Aglarond, Cormyr, the Dalelands and the High Forest where there are highly concentrated populations of half-elves.[3]
