Huang Ch'ung was a sohei in Shou Lung in 1357 DR.[1]


Ch'ung born in a year of great famine so his clan decided to consecrate him to the Dragon Monastery in Kuo Te' Lung.[1]


Ch'ung had never wanted to be a sohei but thought it was a suitable life for him. He took pride in his martial training. However, he was bored by the lack of temple warfare and welcomed any opportunity for an adventure.[1]
