Hydroloth

Hydroloths are large frog-like creature walking on its hind legs and stands almost 10 feet tall, weighs approximately 400 pounds and have a pair of powerfully built arms ending in vicious claws. Connecting its arms to its torso is a strange, fleshy membrane resembling the patagia of a flying squirrel that could be used for short bursts of flight. It has warty skin the color of pus, and its mouth is full of sharp teeth.

Hydroloths are the yugoloths' spies and messengers, and live somewhat outside the normal hierarchies of yugoloths armies, in that they live in and patrol the River Styx, exclusively, which they also use as a transfer route, since they are immune to its memory draining properties. Because of this relative save retreat, hydroloths tend to be cowardly and sneaky.

Hydroloths speak Abyssal, Aquan, Draconic, and Infernal.

When combat is first engaged, a hydroloth will use its sleep spittle on an opponent. It will then leap at a foe and slash and bite. A favored tactic of the hydroloth is to dimension door away from its opponents so it can take maximum advantage of its leaping ability.

Hydroloths like to attack from ambush, preferably out of some body of water. Another favored tactic is to drop on enemies from height, gliding upon them with help from their patagia. To do so, they either lurk from some elevated position or they gain height by their dimension door ability.
