Hykopgruk was an Iulutiun village known for the quality of its kayaks.
Hykopgrukwas located in Alpuk, on the Great Glacier, on the southwestern shore of the Lugalpgotak Sea and north of the Surykyk Range.
The people of Hykopgruk were skilled boatmakers, especially when crafting kayaks. In 1359 DR they were rumored to be developing a type of boat made wholly from ice.
