Iliya was a beautiful woman known to inhabit the oases of the deserts of the interior of Zakhara in 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

Iliya's beauty was shocking to anyone who spied her swimming in an oasis. When not swimming naked, she dressed in a robe made from golden feathers.[1]

Iliya was in fact a polymorphed simurgh who wished to be married as soon as possible.[1]
