Iskander was a wizard member of the Cult of the Dragon during the Tyranny of Dragons second-in-command of the Xonthal's Tower,[1]

HistoryEdit

Iskander was a wizard long time member of the Cult, being a strong dracolich traditionalist he did not like the new direction of the Cult under Severin. At one point just before Tyranny of Dragons Iskander was nominated second-in-command of the just conquered Xonthal's Tower, a bastion full of Cult's traditionalists. He noticed the unusual demise of many young promising member of the Cult before reaching their full potential; so Iskander start to think that in the Severin's Cult was in act a policy of advancement through assassination and/or the killing of too ambitious underling. Soon Iskander believed that he will be the next in the assassination's list. When he experiment a stomach affliction Iskander believe was a poison's attempt; so he decided to betray the Cult sending a message to the Council of Waterdeep praising to send agents to the Xonthal's Tower to free he in exchange for the Blue dragon mask currently there.[2] An adventurers' band was sent by the Council to the Tower; just after they arriving and making contact with Iskander inside the tower however the fellow cultists discovered the Iskander's treason.[3] The adventures managed to enter to save Iskander and the Mask but when finally they found him Iskander was dead and the Mask was reviled as a forgery.[4]
