Jomo "the Cutlass" Shanbaeren was a retired pirate who owned a tavern.[1]
Background
Jomo stowed away on the Dragon's Claw when he was seventeen years old but was discovered by its female captain, who offered him passage. She taught Jomo to play chess.[1]
