Kondar was an enchanted bastard sword.[1]

  • Kondar appeared in the Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II computer games. It is named after its original owner and is more powerful when used against shapeshifters (including doppelgangers). The sword also grew warm in the presence of shapeshifters. It is carried by Aldeth Sashenstar in the first Baldur's Gate game, and can be acquired from him either by killing him in Cloakwood where he is first encountered, or by helping him there and later helping him root out the doppelgangers infesting the Seven Suns, whereupon he will offer the sword as a reward.
