The Lily Pad Inn was a three-story floating inn in the Xiousing district of Marsember, owned by the Shou known as Shiau Chen. The inn was built on a floating platform on the large pond known as the Zhao. Chen ran a rickshaw service out of the inn.
Among other dishes, the inn served fried vegetable rolls, boiled dumplings and duck-stuffed sweet buns.
The inn offered hot tea free of charge to all its patrons.
