The Lord of Highmoon was the title of the military, governmental and legal authority of Deepingdale and its capital city of Highmoon. This lordship was not hereditary, but rather appointed to a deserving candidate by the dale's town council, a collection of upstanding citizens of the city and surrounding countryside.[1]
