Luiren is known as the land of the halflings since its population is almost completely comprised of their race. It is a small kingdom with a population of about 840,000 inhabitants ruled by the halfling theocrat Faran Ferromar. Travelers to Luiren are often surprised to find the locals adventurous and bold as opposed to fat and quiet like the halflings you can find elsewhere.[1] The capital city of Luiren is Beluir, a coastal city of 27,210 souls in the longitudinal center of the realm.[2]

[edit] Geography

Luiren is a coastal country with about 600 miles of coastline on the Great Sea.[citation needed] Most of the coastal area is made up of plains, but heavy forests take up the northern, north eastern and western areas.[2]

During the summer months the temperatures in Luiren can exceed 100 and in the winter months it is near constantly raining, even the strongest and largest trade routes become nearly untraversable for much of the season.[3]

[edit] Notable locations

Lluirwood

Mortick Swamp

[edit] Notable settlements
