Maribar Island covered roughly 900 sq. miles (1450 sq. km) of land. The town of Samak was the only settlement of any considerable size found on the island, though numerous pirate hideouts were probably scattered across the island's coast as well.
The island was located in the Golden Gulf approximately 30 miles (48 km) northeast of the city of Sikak on the mainland. The Bountiful Shoals separated Maribar Island from the coast of western Zakhara.
