Mutamin was a Gnome mage, possibly mad, who resided in an area known as Mutamin's Garden north of the halfling village of Gullykin. He had trained the local basilisk population to attack and petrify wandering humanoids, but not to eat them, as Mutamin wanted to keep the statues of their victims as 'art'. He is said to have died in 1368 DR at the hands of adventurers.
