Nacre cut cabochon

Nacre is the substance that pearls are made of and is also found in turbo and trochus shells. Similar to mother of pearl, the smaller specimens of these shells that exhibit a fiery luster are cut and polished and sold as "nacre" at a base value of 1gp per pound (0.45kg).[1]
