Nogami Sado was a samurai retainer of Niwa clan that command the Niiashima-jo garrison in Kozakura in 1357 DR.


In a castle on a small isle strategic for control eastern Miyama he led one hundred samurai and three hundred bushi. Plus Nogami had also ten river boats[1]


Nogami was a trusted follower of Niwa clan with many battle against bandits in his past, also losing an eye. He was an able tactician. He was considered by his troop a martinet and taskmaster.[1]
