Ogres are a race of giant-kin commonly mistaken for oni. Ogres are giant brutish humanoids that delight in brutality, rape, savagery, and torture. They revel in inflicting misery on others. They are considered bastards by the other giant races except for trolls. They stand between 9 and 10-feet tall and can weigh up to 650 lbs. They tend to be lazy and brutish, preferring to rely on ambush and overwhelming numbers in battle. Ogres often work as mercenaries, hoping for easy plunder.[2]
Appearance
Ogres appear as giant humanoids with very muscular bodies, large heads, and a voracious appetite. They love to feed on humans; especially young children. This savage nature often leads ogres to become the minions of evil beings, such as hags.
Language
Ogres speak Jogishk, a patois of the Jotun tongue.[3]
History
According to legend, the ogre race was formed when Othea, wife of the titan, Annam All-Father, had an affair with Vaprak.[4]

- Elder Ogre
- Elder ogres are an intelligent and extremely dangerous variety of ogre.
- Half-ogre
- Half-ogres are a crossbreed of ogres that are somewhat smarter and weaker than the standard ogre race. They can sometimes pass as unusually large, albeit ugly, humans.
- Merrow
- Merrows are ogres adapted to the water.
- Ice Spire Ogre
- An ogre subrace found in the Ice Spires region.
- Ogrillon
- The result of ogre-orc crossbreeding.
- Zakharan ogre
- Ogres common in the eastern continent of Zakhara.
